Teaching

Research

My research focuses on the interplay between L1 and L2 articulatory patterns, particularly in bilingual speakers, with the broader aim of understanding the physiological mechanisms underlying speech production. I investigate cross-linguistic phonetic features using a range of laboratory techniques, including MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, EGG, and Endoscopy, combined with computational and data science tools. My general goal is to explore how speakers from diverse L1 backgrounds adapt and integrate phonetic features when learning an L2, examining both segmental and subsegmental levels.
